The Institute of Marine Fishery was established by the Foundation of Higher Education of Probolinggo.
May 25, 1963
Through a letter from the Minister of the Higher Education and Science, the Institute of Marine Fishery became a department in the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry (FKHP) of UB in Malang.
January 1, 1973
Following a Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture FKHP became the Faculty of Animal Husbandry with two departments, that is, the Department of Animal Husbandry and the Department of Fishery.
July 5, 1977
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry became Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fishery.
Through a governmental law and a presidential decree both issued in this year, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fishery became two separate faculties, that is, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Fishery
Vision and Mission
The vision of the Faculty of Fishery is to produce human resources who can develop and apply the management of water resources and fishery with environmental awareness and can compete trespassing the national boundary.
The missions of the Faculty of Fishery are:
- To conduct the process of education that results in high quality graduates and relevant to the development of science and technology in the fishery sectors;
- To empower the community of fishery in order to support village industrialization through the process of education, research and community service.
